Ava M. Hart, LCSW, IMH-E
Ava M. Hart has a Master's Degree in Social Work and graduated from the Springfield College School of Social Work. She has worked with children, adults and families for more than 20 years in multiple settings ie. in-home, individual psychotherapy, couples therapy and psych educational groups.
She believes that most people find themselves overwhelmed or struggling at some time in their life. During those times, it can be helpful to talk to someone who is encouraging and understand life challenges. Therapy provides a private, safe place to better understand a particular situation and begin to make positive changes.
Special areas of interest include depression, anxiety, life transitions, parenting/co-parenting, perinatal mood/anxiety disorders, trauma and infant mental health. Ava is trained EMDR(Eye movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). Ava is also a strong believer in Systems Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT).
